АНОТАЦІЯ

Методична розробка «My future profession is a driver» містить комбінований урок з англійської мови для 10 класу по темі «Робота і професії». У ній поєднано перевірку домашнього завдання, вивчення та закріплення нового граматичного матеріалу, а також удосконалення умінь діалогічного мовлення. А саме – активізація лексики по професії «Водій автотранспортного засобу», вивчення теми «Перший умовний спосіб».

Розробка також містить додатки, в яких представлені: список слів по темі «Водій автотранспортних засобів», зразок діалогу по заданій темі, відомості про новий граматичний матеріал та вправа на його закріплення, а також текст для домашнього читання.

Методична розробка може бути використана вчителями англійської мови у навчальних закладах ПТНЗ.

        Тема: Робота та професії    

Підтема: Моя майбутня професія – водій

Мета:

практична: повторити і закріпити у вживанні вивчені лексичні одиниці по темі «Водій. Будова автомобіля.»; навчити розпізнавати і розуміти граматичне явище – перший умовний спосіб; удосконалювати навички складання діалогів з опорою на вербальну наочність, навички сприймання на слух специфічної інформації, навички ознайомлювального читання;

розвиваюча: розвивати мовну здогадку і мовленнєву реакцію учнів; розвивати довготривалу пам’ять; здатність самостійно планувати мовний вчинок; розвивати слухову та короткотривалу пам’ять; розвивати культуру читання; розвивати здатність порівнювати мовні і граматичні явища рідної та іноземної мов; розвивати творчі здібності учнів; вдосконалювати навички говоріння і письма; розвивати здатність мовного самоконтролю;

освітня: розширити знання учнів про світ, про різноманітність професій; сформувати уявлення учнів про нове граматичне явище – перший умовний спосіб;

виховна: виховувати культуру спілкування; формувати мотивацію до вивчення іноземної мови; виховувати почуття колективу, взаємодопомоги, виховувати поважне ставлення до професії «водій». 

Тип уроку: комбінований. 

Обладнання: підручник «Англійська мова» 10 кл. Карп’юк О. Д., зошити, словники, картки з професійною лексикою «Водій. Будова автомобіля», картки з першим умовним способом (16 шт.), роздатковий матеріал для закріплення граматичного матеріалу, зразки міні діалогу (16 шт.), роздатковий матеріал для створення діалогів на тему «Водій», текст для домашнього читання «In the town».

      Greeting

T: Good morning!  I am glad to see you. Are you ready for the lesson? Sit down, please. ! The topic of our lesson is «My future profession is a driver». Today we will develop your reading and writing skills. We’ll speak about a new grammar structure – The first Conditional. It was not an easy task to make a right choice. But you will be a driver.

And now, I want to ask you: why did you choose a profession of a driver? Why the profession of a driver is so important for us?

Pupil’s answers.

P.1: When I was in the ninth form I decided to be a driver because it is interesting for me.

P.2: I want to be a driver because it gives the opportunity to meet a lot of new interesting people.

P.3: I want to be a driver because in childhood I read a lot interesting information about the history of the machines, the names of different brands.

P.4: I want to be a driver because it is cool to travel to different countries and to stop where you want.

Driver   : I ’m sorry. I'm afraid we're lost. Give me the directions to the centre of the city, please.	Водій : Вибачте, будь ласка. Боюсь, ми їдемо не туди. Скажіть мені, будь ласка, як доїхати до центру міста.
Pedestrian   : Go north, turn left, continue on Horniakov Street, make a right turn and go to the middle of the block.	Перехожий : Їдьте у північному напрямі, поверніть наліво, продовжуйте їхати по вулиці Гірників, поверніть направо і їдьте до середини кварталу.
Driver  : Oh, and can you tell me how many kilometres to the nearest service station? I had a flat tire along the way.	Водій : О, ви не могли б мені сказати скільки кілометрів до найближчої станції  техобслуговування?.У мене в дорозі спустило колесо.
Pedestrian: You should make a u-turn and go straight for about 4 kilometers.	Перехожий : Ви повинні повернутися і їхати вперед 4 кілометри.
Driver: So, I should make a u – turn…Thank you very much.	Водій : Отож , я повинен повернути…Велике дякую.
Pedestrian : Don’t mention it.	Перехожий : Немає зa що.

Task2. Make up the dialogues using these expressions and phrases.

Excuse me. Sorry. Can/could you tell me the way to…? Here is my driving license and the documents on the car. How do we get to... How many kilometres to the nearest service station? How much is one litre of petrol / gas? Fill it up, please. Would you check the oil, please? Yes, I would. Please, fill the tires with air, wash the car. Where can I have the car fixed / tuned up? How much do I owe you? How long will the repairs take? I'd like you to adjust the clutch and check the brakes. The engine won't start. Now the engine will start with no trouble. I want to buy a new car. How much is it? It is two hundred thousand dollars. Is this model economical to run? It has a new type of engine, therefore petrol / gas consumption is cut down. Can I take a test drive to see how the car runs? I think the steering and the brakes don't work well. Do you want a lift? Yes, I need on Strona street. Where must I set you down? Sorry, but it's out of the way. Well, start the car. Step on it. Do you want to drive? You hold the wheel like a professional. The engine is running noisily. The car is gathering speed. Now we are going at top speed. Don't exceed the speed limit. We are going at the rate of 40 miles an hour. You are fined for exceeding the regulation speed. The brake does not bite. (The brake refuses to act. The brake is out of action.) You should have applied the brake. Will you change this tire? Have you a spare tire (inner tube)? The tire punctured a mile from home. Seems I'll have to refill the radiator: it has run out of water. I must have my petrol tank filled. I have run out of petrol. The car has broken down; something has happened to the ignition. Where can І find a mechanic? I want to recharge my battery. The engine is out of repair. It's in good (bad) repair. Thank you very much.

Вибачте. Як пройти до… Ось мої права і документи на машину. Як нам потрапити до... Скільки кілометрів до найближчої станції техобслуговування? Скільки коштує літр бензину? Наповніть бак, будь ласка. Не могли б Ви перевірити масло? Так, міг би. Прошу Вас накачати шини, вимити машину. Де можна відрегулювати машину? Скільки я Вам винен? Скільки буде продовжуватися ремонт? Я хотів би відрегулювати зчеплення і перевірити гальма. Двигун не заводиться. Тепер двигун заведеться без проблем. Я хочу купити новий автомобіль. Скільки він коштує? Вона коштує 200 000 доларів. Це економічна модель? У ній використано новий двигун, тому споживання бензину знижене. Я можу спробувати повести машину, щоб перевірити її на ходу? Мені здається, що кермо і гальма несправні. Вас підвезти? Так ,мені необхідно на вулицю Строни. Де вас висадити? Дуже шкода, але мені це не по дорозі. Ну поїхали. Давай газ! Хочете керувати автомобілем? Ви тримаєте кермо, як професіонал. В моторі шумить. Автомобіль набирає швидкість. Зараз ми їдемо на максимальній швидкості. Не перевищуйте встановлену швидкість. Ми їдемо зі швидкістю 40 миль на годину. Я вас штрафую за перевищення встановленої швидкості. Гальма не працюють. Ви мали загальмувати. Ви будете міняти це колесо? У вас є запасне колесо? Шина лопнула за милю від дому. Мабуть, доведеться залити радіатор, вода вся витекла. Потрібно заправити автомобіль паливом. У мене закінчився бензин. Машина не справна, щось трапилось з запалюванням. Де можна знайти механіка? Я хочу перезарядити акумулятор. Двигун не працює. Двигун в доброму (поганому) стані. Дуже дякую.

 

Додаток №4

The First Conditional

(I тип умовного речення)

To express the strong possibility that something will happen in the future

(реальні, здійсненні умови щодо майбутнього часу)

If + підрядне речення у Present Simple + головне речення у Future Simple

Example:

If you exceed the regulation speed, you will be fine.

(Якщо ви перевищите встановлену швидкість, ви будете оштрафовані.)

If you have not fill your petrol tank, you will have run out of petrol tomorrow. (Якщо ви не заправите автомобіль паливом, у вас завтра закінчиться бензин.)

If it rains, I will stay at my friend’s house.

(Якщо піде дощ, я залишуся у будинку мого друга.)

If I see Tom, I will ask him about John.

( Якщо я побачу Тома, я запитаю в нього про Джона.)

If the weather is fine, we will go to the forest.

( Якщо погода буде гарною, ми підемо в ліс.)

If you have time, we will go to the cinema.

(Якщо ти будеш мати час, ми підемо в кіно.)

Note: We use a comma after the “if-clause”.

    Ex.: If you leave now, you will catch the bus.

           You will catch the bus_ if you leave now.

Task 4. Read the text and write down the new words in your vocabularies.
                                                      In the town
          In the streets, roads and squares of the town we see people walking and
vehicles driving. The vehicles are: trams, buses, trolley-buses, taxis and motor-cars, motor-cycles, motor-scooters and bicycles.
         Along the streets there are street lamps, at the corners of the streets there are
traffic lights. The street lights are switched on when it gets dark; they are switched
off when it gets light. When the red traffic light is switched on, the traffic stops; when the green light is switched on, the vehicles drive on.
         Along the streets we also see bus, trolley-bus and tram stops. People get on and off public transport there. In the streets there are also Tube stations, where people get on and off the underground electric railway.
          At big crossroads in large towns and cities there are subways for pedestrians
and fly-over for vehicles. At nearly all street corners there are pedestrian crossings
for people to cross the road.
         In England vehicles drive on the left. In Ukraine the traffic drives on the right. Outside the towns we travel from one place to another by train, plane or boat.
